Guides / KRA & receipts
KRA receipts and tax records for small shops
Compliance anxiety is real—even for micro-businesses. You may not need a full accountant on day one, but you do need sales records and receipt evidence that match if KRA or a partner asks.
What F-Biz gives you
- Timestamped sales with line items and payment method
- Shareable receipts with QR verification link
- Option to upload or attach KRA / tax receipt photos per sale
- Exportable transaction history for your accountant
- Tax rate at checkout when enabled in Settings
A simple record-keeping habit
- Enable tax settings if your business charges VAT or needs it on receipts
- Complete every sale in F-Biz—cash, M-Pesa, and credit
- When you receive an official tax receipt, attach it to that sale
- Export monthly summaries for filing or accountant review
What F-Biz is not
F-Biz is not eTIMS integration or automatic KRA filing. It is your daily till record plus a place to hang receipt proof. For eTIMS obligations, follow KRA guidance and use certified tools where required— keep F-Biz as the operational source of truth for what you sold.
Pair with reconciliation
Tax records only help if totals match reality. Use our daily reconciliation guide so declared sales align with cash and M-Pesa in the till.
